Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics (Translation)
1. Training objectives and requirements
Program Aims
The program seeks to develop students' strong skills in Japanese language , especially in listening, speaking, reading and writing, and to enhance their knowledge, broaden their horizon and help them acquire necessary professional trainings in relevant fields so that the graduates are able to use Japanese proficiently in the areas such as education, business, cultural exchanges, tourism, foreign affairs and enterprises, and become advanced language users.
Academic Requirements
* Being familiar with the policies and laws concerning foreign affairs;
* Understanding the fundamentals of Japanese language and possess advanced capacities in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation.
* Understanding the basics of Japanese language and literature;
* Possessing basic theories in humanities and social science;
* Being familiar with the societies and culture of Japan;
* Being qualified in reading and writing in a second foreign language and have strong Chinese skills;
* Being qualified of information gathering through document retrieval systems by modern techniques for their future professions and scientific researches.
