Russian Department
Founded in June 1953, Russian Department of School of Foreign Languages offers One bachelor-degree program: Business Russian. In 2007, the School for the first time began to recruit postgraduates majoring in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics (Russian). With optimized structure of professional titles, academic prestige matching with educational and managerial experience, the faculty includes Ten teachers, among them Seven are associate professors, and Three are lecturers. There are Two postgraduate tutors at the college level, Nine postgraduate or above holders, Two Ph.D. holders, and One Ph.D. candidate. There is one Russian scholar.
Russian Department performs advanced research in a broad academic field and has made a remarkable progress. Over the last three years, Russian Department has undertaken One research project at the provincial level, One research project at the international level and participated in One research project at the international level. Besides, it offers One key program at the university level and has published One academic book, Two translated works, and over Sixty academic articles at the provincial level or above.
Russian Department has established friendly relations, international academic exchanges, and cooperation with Irkutsk Normal University , Irkutsk State Technical University , Novosibirsk University , and Chelyabinsk University .
