School of Foreign Languages, SNU
The School of Foreign Languages (SFL), Shenyang Normal University , was founded in 1953 as the former Department of Foreign Languages. At present, it comprises English Department I (underclassman teaching), English Department II (upperclassman and postgraduate teaching), Russian Department, Japanese Department, and French & German Department. In addition, SFL has three research institutes (the Institute of English Teaching, the Institute of Japanese Culture and Multi-media Research and Development Center ), one administrative office, and one Experimental Teaching Center.
Providing five languages: English, Russian, Japanese, French and German, SFL offers 6 bachelor-degree programs: English Teacher Education, English, English Interpretation, Russian, Japanese and French. Among these programs, the enrollment of English majors is at the National Undergraduate Level (B) and English is the Model Specialty in Liaoning Province .
